Who we are

What we collect
When you use the sign-up form on this site, we collect the email address you provide, the date and time you gave consent, and your IP address at the time of submission (kept briefly to prevent spam and abuse, and as evidence that consent was given). We do not collect any other personal data through this site, and we do not use cookies or analytics trackers.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your email address for one purpose only: to send you marketing emails about the Poodle London launch and related updates. Our lawful basis for this, under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), is your consent — given by ticking the consent box before submitting the form. We do not pre-tick this box, bundle it with any other agreement, or use your email address for anything you haven't agreed to.
How your sign-up is handled
Submitting the form sends your email address to us by email so we can add it to the mailing list we use to send updates. We do not store submissions in a database ourselves; your email address subsequently lives in the mailing list platform we use to send campaigns, which acts as our data processor for that purpose.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the mailing list, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is sooner. If you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we stop sending you emails and remove your details from the active list within 30 days.
Sharing your data
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the mailing list / email-sending platform we use to operate our mailing list, acting as our data processor under a contract that requires them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, request its deletion, restrict or object to our processing of it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Because we process your email address on the basis of consent, you can also withdraw that consent at any time — for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us at [hello@poodlelondon.com]. Withdrawing consent won't affect the lawfulness of anything we did with your data beforehand.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you're based in the EU, with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site and our mailing list arrangements develop. We'll update the “last updated” date above whenever we do.
